Quick, I Need Help Please
We've put together a few questions we're occasionally asked.
Quality Control
We use the freshest flowers around town, so don't worry petal, your flowers have just travelled a long way overnight with very little to drink or eat. We've added all the little bits of information you need inside the box to make your flowers chirp away like happy birds.
Droopy Flowers
They're okay, don't worry. Your flowers have travelled land and sea with very little to drink. Quench their thirst with some fresh cold water, give them a little snip (2-4cm off the bottom of the stems) + they'll be happy in no time. Just refer to your little pink booklet for detailed instructions.
Squashed Flowers
Flat box, flat flowers. Not to worry, they're just thirsty. Give them a vase of fresh cold water and they'll spring back to their feet.
Soft + Tired Roses / Tulips
Roses + Tulips love a drink or two, so give them some fresh water to perk them up.
Rose Petals look a little discoloured?
Yeppp, we send our roses with their guard petals. Why? Well as the name suggests, just to protect your roses during transit. Now some people like the look of guard petals and others, not so much. If you happen to not like them, then all you need to do is remove those outer petals and voila! Good as new.
Damaged flowers?
In the unlikely event that your flowers arrive damaged, please contact us via email here or hello@flowerfix.co.uk with photos and order number (if available) within 12 hours following your delivery. We'll get this issue resolved in just a few ticks so you can go about your lovely day.
Where is my Delivery?
Once your delivery is on it’s way, you can track the postie by clicking the link in your email.
I was expecting my delivery today, why are my flowers still not here?
We use Royal Mail's Tracked 24 Service. Whilst this is next day delivery, it is not guaranteed (only affects a small percentage of boxes). Royal Mail have been instructed to deliver your flowers (i.e. not take them back to the depot), however if this does happen, we use a special liquid in our boxes that will help keep your flowers fresh! So, there's no need to bite your finger nails just yet.

What if I’m not home?
Our eco-friendly letterbox boxes are specifically designed for your letterbox and will fit through 90% of letterboxes throughout the UK.
Don't worry if your letterbox is too small, just tell us a safe location for your peace of mind.
Where the box doesn't fit, they'll try a neighbour or a safe place and leave you a note.
Our hand-tied flower boxes and vases will require the recipient to be home. If nobody is available to take delivery, your postie will leave with a neighbour or in a safe place. On occasion if there’s no safe option, they will take them back to the depot (for re-delivery or collection).
If you've not given us any special instructions, the postie will leave your flowers in a safe place or with a neighbour.
Note: Royal Mail require a signature for premium delivery, therefore the recipient will need to be home to accept delivery.
Tips and Tricks from the Florist
How to pick a vase?
There's no rule to this, it's whatever tickles your fancy,
We do recommend a narrow neck vase, which will help your flowers look full. Remember not too narrow, you'll have a handful of flowers that need to get in.
Wide neck vases will mean your flowers will drop to the sides (we don't want that). Instead opt for something like the one we've displayed the flowers in.
Size: Approx. 15 - 25cm wide + at least 20cm tall (taller vase means your stems can stay longer)

Flower life
We source our flowers from flower farms, meaning no middleman, no wholesalers, direct from the farm to us. This way we can send some of your flowers in bud form, so they can last even longer. Like anything perishable, this all depends on the care given. Keep them happy, and they'll keep you happy.
Most flowers will typically last for 5-10 days and maybe even longer if you follow our advice in the care guide. Keep them clean and fed well.
Please note, whilst we say 5-10 days, some flowers such as garden roses have a lifespan of just 3 days.
